About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Burlingame, Le Croissant Cafe is a charming, family-owned coffee shop that perfectly blends classic café culture with a warm, inviting neighborhood vibe. Specializing in freshly baked croissants and satisfying breakfast staples, this cozy spot offers a delightful taste of French-inspired American breakfast fare that keeps locals coming back for more.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the array of croissant sandwiches—each crafted with flaky, buttery croissants that melt in your mouth. From the savory Cheese Egg Croissant Sandwich to the vibrant Florentine Breakfast Croissant, every bite bursts with rich, authentic flavors. If you’re craving something lighter or more refreshing, the fresh Fruit Cup and creamy Gelato offer a sweet contrast that perfectly rounds out your meal.

Beyond croissants, Le Croissant Cafe shines with its thoughtfully prepared omelettes, like the fluffy Cheese Omelette and fresh Egg Salad Sandwich on Croissant, which provide hearty and satisfying options for any time of day. For sandwich lovers, choices such as the Bacon Avocado Melt with melted provolone or the crisp, fresh Caprese Sandwich deliver layers of taste and texture that entice the palate.

Beverage lovers will find their match with expertly prepared coffees like the smooth Cappuccino Latte, light yet flavorful Cafe Latte, and the exotic Thai Iced Tea that combines real Thai tea with brown sugar and cream. For a refreshing pick-me-up, the Passion Fruit Iced Tea and freshly squeezed orange juices add zesty brightness to your table.

Le Croissant Cafe’s atmosphere is as inviting as its menu, featuring both cozy indoor seating and a peaceful outdoor patio where you can savor your meal in the fresh air. Customers repeatedly praise the friendly, personal service and the genuine care that comes from the family ownership, helping you feel right at home whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely morning.

Reviews from visitors reflect this sincere connection: Azar Astinfeshan highlights the “tender and delicious” chocolate croissant paired with a satisfying cappuccino, while James Weiss encourages supporting this small local gem over corporate chains with his enthusiastic love for their breakfast croissants. Regulars like Dharma M appreciate the affordability, welcoming vibe, and high-quality lattes and pastries, noting the fluffy croissants and well-made coffee as standouts. Visitors traveling through appreciate the convenient parking and quick, fresh meals, with Craig Prater mentioning the friendly staff and peaceful setting. Love this coffee shop. It is family owned. Seems many are regular. The owner is nice. It is a small shop which serves coffee, pastries and regular american breakfast like egg and sandwich. It has indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered almost croissants and latte. Price is reasonable and it is cheaper than other coffee shops. The croissant is yummy and fluffy. The latte is good and light. Will visit again and try the sandwich.

Stopped here for a good, quick breakfast on the way back to the airport. Friendly staff. Parking in front was only $1 per hour. Got a couple of Croissant sandwiches. They were fresh, and really good. Tea was good as well. Area not busy at all. Thank you!

A cute and traditional cafe with coffee, sandwiches, salads, and pastries. I've ordered their garden salad, chicken club sandwich, florentine croissant sandwich. We really enjoy their garden salad since it's really big and includes avocado and egg. The sandwiches come with two sides, we've had orange slices, chips, or a madeline cookie. The croissant sandwich came alone. We really liked the sandwiches since they're simple and easy. I usually order through yelp and pick up at the store. My food has been ready each time. The only thing is that I find their consistency lacking. The first time our salad was full of spinach and regular lettuce and we really enjoyed it. The second time it was full of chopped lettuce and was lacking in other ingredients. I would recommend this place for their sandwiches since they make for a good lunch.

We were looking for a nice place to eat breakfast at the first day of our vacation in SF. I found this cafe and I’d like to say that we were extremely lucky to find this nice and cool cafe. The food were fresh and delicious. Homemade coffee was excellent. Their croissant is recommended. Staff are friendly. Finally you’ll enjoy of the great atmosphere there.

I recently stopped by Le Croissant Cafe specifically looking for a fresh salad, and this place absolutely delivered. The Chicken Caesar Salad was truly delicious—it was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. If you're looking for a light, tasty lunch option, I highly recommend it. Beyond the food, the coffee here is fantastic. It’s the perfect companion for a relaxing moment or a quick pickup. What truly elevates this cafe is the atmosphere and the people. The hardworking family of Cambodian ancestry who run it are incredibly welcoming. I had a really nice conversation with Steve, which made me feel right at home. It’s clearly a great place to hang out, settle in, and enjoy your meal. This spot is a real neighborhood treasure. I'll definitely be back soon!
